I have taken apart and put computers back together many times, however i have never actually installed a processor. how would i go alojng doing this ? unless the motherboards come with the processor in it, which i doubt,, if some one could please explain how this process is done on how to install a processor ,, i would greatly appercaite it.
the process isn't too complicated. make sure the side lever is up on the mobo processor connector, and the processor should fall right in place. there is only one way it can go it. don't push it in, it should gently fall in. then pull the lever down to lock it in place. be SURE to put a dab of the white heat transfer goo on top of the processor before you securely latch the CPU fan on. thats about it, its really not much harder than installing ram or a pci card. just be careful and don't force it in...you bend one of those hundreds of pins and you could ruin it.
