hey guys, ever anyoe here downloaded a movie from a torent site, and its size is 700mb and its in xvid format, did any one notice how good the quality is even in 700bm size? the entire movie, So any one knows whats there way on doing this, because i am very impressed by there work, does anybody know what sofware, what method, what settings, they use?? anyone here??? -thanks
Well I would imagine that they use AVISynth for resizing and other filtering. Probably BeSweet to downmix and re-encode the audio. That is for scene releases at least. Torrent sites could contain anything.
thank u celtic_d. But do u think If I follow this guide on afterdawn for "Copy your DVD to XviD with AC3 surround sound" will give me the same results, is this "THE" best way of ripping a dvd to Xvid, or is there any other special way too? here is the guide on afterdawn that i was talking about: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/copy_dvd_to_xvid.cfm What's your best way to do it, all of you guys. That gives outstanding quality. -Thank You
No I would not recommend that guide. It is well out of date. You would get better quality using something like AutoGK. Even if you had a more uptodate guide, you only get better quality than apps like AutoGK if you know what you are doing. You don't have to use AutoGK though. Any app of that nature is probably ok. For instance ARCalculator is worth checking out. A little harder to use though.
Does AutoGK and ARCalculator, will be enougf for the job, is there a guide anywhere for this? -Thank You
