HEllo. I acquired a wmv file. I tried to play it, but when window mediaplayer opens, it tells me i need an upgrade, but I always chose not to install the upgrade, for fear of virus or trojan. When I look at the wmv properties, i learn that it is indeed protected. I am wondering if there is something that will allow me to view the file without getting a million and one trojans on my computer.

ALso I am not sure to which forum I should have posted this to. Thanks for any suggestions. Jasin

So far there's no way around drm-protected videos. The only way to watch them is having a legal license.

    Hi

I have WMV and the licence to play then but they are DRM protected.
Is there anyway to remove the drm to burn them to disc.??

    thanks
