ive got a ps1 emulator on my xbox hd,to play ps1 games do i have to put the iso of the game onto my hd or can i run the game from the disc
As far as I understand you must have either the ISO on the xbox HDD or the ISO burned as a FILE on a disc. It won't work with real ps1 discs in the drive or straight burned ps1 discs.
What do you mean by iso? PSX emulator only run the .bin and .cue So you download and install any software that can rip psx game into .bin and .cue The transfer it to xbox and play. I use CDRwin.
PCSXBox certainly can read ISO. I personally copied my own games as BIN/CUE, but he was asking about ISO, so I assumed that's what he had to work with. Some games are going to have to be BIN/CUE to work. Some games just won't work no matter what you do. To play from a disc you need to make an Xbox ISO from a folder that contains the PS1 game files. Place them all in this folder, fire up Craxtion, Qwix or xISO and create an ISO from that folder. Burn to DVD. Now when you start PCSXbox you can browse to the DVD to select the ISO or BIN that you want to run.
xbox-scene.com has a compatability list as to what games work with the emulator....it'll be in their forums.
