Greetings. I really prefer the PS2 dualshock controller over the X-Box controller. I'm interested in buying the device that allows me to use my PS2 controller on my XBox system (there are a few different accessories like this, so i'm not sure which one to get). I'm wondering, has anyone tried this out and if so how was it? Also, did all of the buttons that would be mapped to the xbox controller correspond and respond to the PS2 controller, and were there any issues or problems with the controller if you wanted to reconfigure the button assignments in the game option menu? Thanks.
The PS2 controller sucks ass compared to the Xbox S-Type! The triggers are a good example of that, not to mention the Black & White buttons! eg. Have you ever tried to play 'Tiger Woods' on the PS2 and charge your power meter...? I don't see why the adapter wont work though, most of the buttons are in the same place! Keep the Xbox controller though!
Yes, I have bought two of them, and I love it. My hands are not used to the xbox controllers nor do I like any of the placement for the buttons. I bought mine at a compusa before they went out of business. Anyways, they gave a layout of the keys, and this converter also works for a ps2 controller to a gamecube. The r2 and l2 act as your white and black buttons. I'm running a hardmod xbox, so it doesn't work at the bios screen, use an xbox controller or the xbox remote, which I use to get to the dashboard. I do emulator stuff with mine and I'm not into the xbox games themselves, but I have tried it on some games. It just takes a little bit of time to get used to the controls and remembering what does what and after that it is a piece of cake. Gryph
i too dislike the xbox controllers, and use the converters so i can use my ps controllers, i have one that is suppose to work with the raceing wheel too but i dont have the wheel yet so not sure how that will work, i have some older diffrent types of playstation controllers, and some buttons work some dont, still working on them tho....so hopefull i'll all the controllers i want.....
XCM XFPS 360 XCM XFPS 3.0 Sniper PLUS XCM XFPS 3.0 Sniper XCM XFPS 360 PRO XCM XFPS 360 The XFPS 360 is an innovative keyboard and mouse adapter for the Xbox 360 which begins an unrivalled First Person Shooter (FPS) experience to the next-generation gaming console. Not only is the XFPS 360 compatible with all standard PS/2 input devices but also modern USB keyboards and mice. But wait, there's more! The XFPS 360 even makes traditional PS2 DualShock2 controllers compatible on the Xbox 360, as well as a plethora of peripherals. This exquiste device even manages to bring auto fire functionality to the Xbox 360, now that tops off what promises to be the must have peripheral for years to come! If you google xcm xfps you'll find what you're looking for.
the xps opption is very expensive are there any other options? There is a one handed controller comming out for ps2 and I need for 360.
try google, the xcm xfps is probably your best bet though. You should know XCM makes quality products. So instead of spending 40 on a knockoff get the real thing.
I ordered one. but i cant use my left hand real well, so I am trying to use my pc joystick with the sniper plus. Does anyone know if I can use my pc joystick and if so how do I map the buttons? thanks
Keep the fanboyism down. Some games are best play on the original controller. If anything, the xbox d-pad is terrible when playing SNES games. Anyhow OP, DO NOT BUY THE ADAPTER! I have bought the PS2 to Xbox adapter and there is a slight .25 second lag in the controls. Not very fun when your playing Street Figher II or such. Also if your curious. L2 = Left Trigger R2 = Right Trigger L1 = White button R1 = Black Button
I just received the controller I have been waiting for last night. I was able to get everything plug-in and got the controller to work once. Then I turned everything off and I have not been able to get anything to work again. I am using the xfps 3.0 sniper plus. The controller I am using is a wireless PS2 controller. I have the adapter plugged into the USB port on the front of the Xbox then I plugged the wireless controller connector into the PS port on the adapter. There is a yellow light and a green light on the wireless transmitter I believe that what I had working correctly a yellow light was solid and now it is flashing. How quickly should I unplug the wired Xbox 360 controller from the adapter? Is there anything else I should be looking at as to I can't get it to work now?
Here is the real deal with this adapter. This adapter is a great item. Minus one problem. The adapters real use is mostly for ddr pads, light guns, racing wheels. Not really good with dual shock controllers. I have one i use for my 150.00 ddr pads. However it does suck with the dual shock.
