This is just a theory.... I only just thought it up, though, unable to practition in this method myself, as currently my computer does not have an Ethernet RJ45 port to connect to the computer (Though hopefully, this should happen by Friday if Amazon's helpful...) I thought that maybe if you got a PS2 game's .ISO and extract the files with WinRAR, then .XBE the files, will it run on the Xbox? I myself know you can unzip .ISO's using WinRAR for I've done it myself when the .ISO's haven't worked for backup's of my software, and 7-zip can be used to .xbe the files (just change the file name to "fhdfgh.xbe" instead of "dhd.ace" or whatever it is.) As I said, this is only a theory, anyone willing ot try this out, please do so and contact me. Also, do I need my Xbox modded to run the Xbox games when FTPed into them? ^^; Note: I only said ISO because I know you can un-pack them. I dunno if you can unpack the .CUE's etc.
It's not that simple. The hardware is far too different, meaning you'd have to emulate PS2 hardware via software, which the Xbox is far too weak to do. Considering it has a hard time with PlayStation games, it's safe to say that using stock hardware, an Xbox will never be able to play PS2 games. And yes, your Xbox must be modded in some way before it will be able to play back-ups from the hard drive.
Yeah, well... It was jsut an idea... I just thought that changing it to .XBE would make it easier to read... Cos if you can convert the PS2 games into Xbox games it should read it. At least that's what I think. People are trying to emulate PS2 games but I wonder if they've tried to convert them to Xbox's... That's what I was thinking when I thought of that.... Still it'd own if it worked.
