Put wrong sortware on original Starview Box

    I downloaded sortware for "the Box" onto the original starview receiver, and now when i hook it up to the tely all i get is a screen with "THE BOX" written accross it, no menu's, so i cant restore it to factory settings... can anyone help me fix this?

    Hi ther I have just read the forum for "Wrong software in to real starview" and it says go to a link nothing there maybe me?;can any body advise me of the correct software to get the box back to normal which software package?

    Depends on what box you are referring to and what firmware you loaded to it in the first place.

    go back to the eko site and down load the correct firmware for the starview which you will have to reflash your box again and that will sort you out ok

    The second post in the other thread tells you exactly what to do. It doesn't go in to a lot of detail, 'cos the guy obviously knows how to flash a starview, he just
    used firmware for the wrong starview. I probably should have mentioned about clones / genuine boxes, but I was in a rush at the time.
