PX HDD Loader Question

I have a question about the size of my partitions that show up on PX HDD loader. Partition 6 shows a total of 120.516 GB and Partition 1 shows a total of 4.767 GB. My harddrive is 250GB in total so shouldnt PX HDD being showing that amount. When I check the size of my folders in Xbox file explorer the sizes are as follows:

C folder: 499MB
E folder: 4.881MB
f folder: 123.408MB
G folder: 107.376MB
X folder: 749MB
Y folder: 749MB

Now when I add that up I believe it is pretty close to 250GB. So what can I do to get PX HDD Loader to see the full size of my harddrive.

 

Your F drive will only show 120 free GB space. all other space will be in your G drive. Your G drive will have to be a storage for any other games you want to place on your HD. By going into your dvd2xbox menu, you can enable the g and f drives and start swapping games from g to f and vice versa. My HD is set up the same way.

 

Is partition 1 and partition 6 apart of the F drive? If not what does partition 1 represents?

2=b (goodluck finding this one)
3=c
4=d
5=e
6=f
7=g

change the LBA48 to partition 6 takes up to 137GB/7 takes the rest.

 

sorry, im drunk right now. leave your system the way it is and just use dvd2xbox app. when you want more room, swap the f game to the g drive for more f space.

 

Put simple, you have the wrong bios on your modchip (technically not the wrong 1 just needs a slight update).

I had the same problem, u need to update the bios on your modchip, my new hdd is 160gb, pxhdd loader only sees 120gb on drive F: (your standard evoX M8plus bios only supports upto 137gb).

You can do 1 of 2 things, download the bios with LBA48 enabled (large hdd support upto 2TB), or use the same bios but tweak it with a prog called EVTool, enable LBA48, change the power led colour, alter fan speed, change the colour of the big X at boot up etc...

Then re flash your modchip.

After which u will have to format drive F again (if u dont it will corrupt all data on drive F as soon as u write to it), this is done with slayers v2.6 cd in a matter of seconds.

I have a 500GB installed, my Bios is able to detect and show that its 500GB, however HDD loader show only 460GB, I have C:, E: F: X: Y:, My Slayers Evox dashboard however shown the full Hard disk information which is correct. Wonder where are the rest of hard disk spaces goe to in PX HDD Loader? Can anyone advice?

 

I think its just the way pxhdd loader is.

My 160gb only reads as 150gb, but evo x displays the correct size anyway so it doesnt worry me too much!

 

Thanks for your information, I just change it to DVD2XBOX and the new version look so much better than PX HDDLoader with professional interface as well as functions.

 

hi guys erm...here is an example...if you have a 120gb it will show a bit less than that beacuase some of the space is used up already for operating requirements etc.you cant use a blank hard drive as nothing will recognize it,except maybe the guy who sold you it..lol...anyway...even formatting it never deletes everything...weird eh?

 

I know this thread is getting a bit old but;

Does anybody know how to get PX HDD loader to work on a softmodded machine?

I have got the program itself running ok after putting it in the apps folder but it gives me the message...

"your chip does not support disc eject reset, disc must already be inserted"

It will let me press B and read the disc, tell me how big it is etc but this message comes up when I try to confirm the copy action.

The HD is standard size so i know i wont get much on there but it would be handt to fit at least 1 game on there incase i cant be bothered to ftp it straight away.

 

Try using Dvd2xbox instead, its a bit quicker, just more fiddly when u want to delete the game (u have to use file browser and delete the folder manually, or over ftp).
Although it has a good advantage over pxhd loader, it names the folder the same as the game where as pxhd puts em in folders called "PxGame01" etc. so deleting over ftp is annoying cos u have to open the gamelist.txt file to know which folder its in.

yeah, i have dvd2xbox on my other xbox but it freezes up when you try to use it and have to manualy power off and on again to get out of it. i might try to get a newer version as mine was the green screen, old looking one and i have seen pics of a much nicer looking one 9maybe it was just a skin but mine is at least 2 years old anyway)

got my px loader working by the way. still has the chip reset eject trick thingy message (but it's not chipped so it would say that) but i was selecting the wrong partition which had no space,,,,,DOH!
