    Hi,

I'm new on here & not overly PC literate, so apologies if I'm in the wrong place - I generally am on music chat boards & never realised there could be SO many different headers under which to post! I'm confused just being here...

Anyway, I hope someone can help. I have a Hewlett Packard PC & on it I have the above CD-Rom burner, Lite On Combo LTC 48161H. I only have ever used it for burning audio/data CDs, generally with CD Burner XP Pro 3 recently. It was fine yesterday & did a couple of CD putting wav's & jpeg's on them, but now it says that the driver is 'corrupt' & gives 'error code 39'.

I've tried to find out what that means, but frankly I'm getting really confused by it all! It has basically just stopped working.

I have looked to see if I can download an updated driver or some kind of driver repair system, but when I check it I get told that the driver I have is the most up to date one - only it just doesn't work.

If anyone can offer advice (in people-language, please!) on how to sort this out, I'd be very very grateful. My PC runs fine, I don't use i-Tunes or RealPlayer, I do have Windows Media Player on there, but I can't even remember which one it is as I never use it. Don't know if that makes any difference?

    Cheers,
    Al Bradley

I am having that same problem, and the more I look for drivers the more lost I become. I even tried deleting it totaly and trying to re-add it, but still said my drivers were up to date.
