Hey everybody I'm back. I'd like to thank all who have provide their usefull input in getting my project done. I've been doing some experimenting and came to the conclusion of:
I was not able to burn my .ISO file on to a MEMEOREX DVD-R 16X, but was able to burn the same .ISO file on to a MEMOREX DVD-RW 1X-2X. Why is this? Maybe the speed? Next, I'm going to try to burn the .ISO file on to a PRINCO DVD-R 4x that I order online. I hope the quality of the media is the answer (doing some research in this thread, PRINCO is highly reccomended for burning videos) Also does the burn speed on the blank media play a factor?

yes h=the speed is important.Never burn at a speed higher than 4x.Memorex is probably the worst brand(or one of them) of dvd around.Spend a few more cents and get some taiyo yudens or verbatims. If you search here on afterdawn you will find lots of advice on wich media to use.Memorex is bad already burning at 4x imagine what happens at 16x.:)

You can Get away with useing Even Memorex if you have to as Long as you Burn them at the Lowest speed Possible (1x,2x)....

Video DVD"s have no Error Correction Data in them Unlike Data DVD"s so they are Very prone to Burn errors and the faster your Burn the More errors there are and the Closer to the end of the Disk the More Burn errors there are, You have Noticed that some of your Burned DVD"s will Play Fine at first but the Closer the Movies Gets to the End the More Freezeing and Jumps in the Picture untill it eventually Freezes up all together....

So you can Probably still use your MemoreX 16X DVD-R"s as Long as you Burn them at 2x or 4x speed but maybe try 2x speed just to be Safe....

    Cheers

But at the same time, you have to keep in mind the fact that the dvd's will degrade over time. Yes, your memorex may work after first burn and work on playback for some time. But after use, the laser on your drive deteriorates the disk if you don't have decent quality media. So if you're using crappy media, it may skip/stutter after use and time. Hence why better media was suggested. Better media can stand the test of time and can be purchased at just about the same price as the crappy media :)

Brands to look for (or knockoff brands that have this manufacturer): Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Ritek.

    Happy burning to you.

Take the memorex and Princo? and actually burn them... in a fire! Get some taiyo yudens or verbatims. Don't use cheap media.
