I seem to be having a problem with qualitys of my DVDs

After putting videos on my computer in AVI files I used adobe premeire elements to compress and author a DVD. the DVD seemed to be a low quality...the videos on the computer looked amazing though

when I used nero express to compress and author it seemed to actually be a higher quality video...

I always thought nero was bad compression tool.... can anyone shed some light on why adobe seems to suck right now?

Haven't used either of those tools, but I will say that quite a few people here use Nero to compress/encode, and I have heard other complaints of quality from Adobe products.
