I do not wish the LFE to be directed to the front channels. They make my front speakers sound odd. What must I do?

LFE is the subwoofer channel (the .1 in AC3 5.1)
Your front speakers will not like it, unless they are very sturdy and their frequency response is flat to 20Hz.
Do not direct it to your front channels... (is this a trick question? :)
Tell us what you're doing and we can then help you to disable this effect!
    Regards

Many recievers will direct the LFE to the front speakers as default IF you do not have a subwoffer hooked up to it. Do you have a sub?
    Also,
what kind of reciever is it?

    OGS,
I don't know of any front speakers that can go flat to 20Hz. If his are sounding funny with the LFE directed to them it's probably cheap speaker construction or a weak power supply. I have seen a few systems set up with no sub and the LFE directed to the front speakers and they sound great.
