Hello, Just read a post on the rules of the forum that discussion of piracy is banned but your site offers software to download tv shows. So is it against the rules to ask advice about the best way to do this? I just need to be sure. Thanks.
Short answer yes, long answer no. It's all in how you word the question. For example instead of how do I copy this so my friend can use it? You ask for help with backup a game or whatever.
I wouldn't think that there is a problem with asking about how to download tv shows. VCR's have been around for 25 years, and there hasn't been a big stink about using them to download programs on tv. For capturing to a computer, there are a number of ways to do it. I can use my Hauppauge capture card to do it. I have the WinTV-PVR-350. I haven't captured any tv shows, but I do have my cable connected to the card. I use the card to capture home video from my old VHS-C camcorder tapes.
technically, it's wrong to do so (in fact against the law) but you are less likely to get caught out downlading them. lethal
