Hello, I know that it is possible to put a dvd on an ipod. But, my question is about whether it is possible to split it into chapters and if you can just put individual chapters on the ipod?

one way i did it was by using dvd shrink ..its a lengthy way of doing it but click on the reauthor tab in shrink drag the individual title(the main movie)and i click on the symbol with 2 arrows (sets start and stop frame)and i pick where u want the title to start and stop.then back up the iso. or vob. file which ever u want to back up as..

Does your computer even read DVD's???

Unless someone knows otherwise it won't work if you only have a CD drive.

To be perfectly honest, I don't know. Is it possible to buy or download one rather than buy a new computer?

On your computer on the Drive tray dose it say DVD rom? Or Compact Disk?

If it says Commpact Disk you will need to buy a new drive (a DVD rom drive)

I will give you links to ones that will work for you... they are easy to install if you arnt afraid of opeing you PC?

Can you open the DVD files on "My Computer"? Can you play the DVD movie with PowerDVD or Windows Media Player?
If not, your drive is CD-ROM, so you can not rip your DVD to ipod video formats. You should purchase a DVD-Rom or DVD-R(W), DVD+R(W).
