Okay i have a dvd-r in my computer my computer is from 2003 and is laptop and is an hp but it will not detect the dvd-r can someone tell me why please and help me fix it. thank you
We really need the model number of the DVD burner to progress much farther. Download and open Imgburn, go to mode > write and copy and paste all of the information in the left window here in this thread...make sure there is a disc in the drive.
as me good buddy loco says... for a 2003 burner prolly need firmware upgrade and like mentioned also a media to drive issue/change...
OKAY THIS IS WHAT MY COMPUTER TELL ME MY DRIVE IS A SONY CD-RW CRX830E TYPE: DVD/CD-RW I HAVE TRIED DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW AND NONE OF THEM WORK PLEASE HELP ME. BUT YET I CAN BURN VIDEOS ON CD-R! HELP ME PLEASE IM GOING CRAZY FROM THIS!
nicole234- are you sure your drive actually is a DVD burner and not a Dvd-Rom /Cd burner ? Many laptops /notebooks come with a combo drive = A CD Burner & Dvd Rom Combined in one drive ! If that is what you have you can't burn DVD's with it as it isn't a DVD burner at all ! - You will have to purchase a DVD burner if what I said above is your situation !
Hi your Sony is a dvd read only and a cd burner only. It does not burn dvds of any type -- sorry. This is why u r having problems.
okay here's another question if i don't have a dvd burner but can burn videos on cd-r how can i make the files smaller to fit more on a disc?
i see now, well spotted iluvendo do you have a dvd film to make smaller? if so use AutoGK turn it into an xvid thats alot smaller... do you have an xvid player?
hi, i've got a similar problem with my drives not detecting dvd-r's. i've got a laptop with a dvd rom and an external pioneer dvd-rw which i've had running ok for a while, now for some reason when i insert a blank dvd-r into either the rom or writer i can get no info about what free space is on the disc and the icon name in windows explorer changers name from dvd drive to cd drive. it's almost like the disc isn't there. can anybody help?
