Could anyone please tell me how to find out if a DivX AVI file is interlaced or progressive? I tried VirtualDub, AVI Info, YAAI and many other tools, but none of them can tell if the AVI file is interlaced or progressive.
I don't know what that is, but have you tried GSpot, it's located in the software section of this site
I just tried GSpot 2.1 It gives very detailed information about any AVI file, but no information about frame type (progressive or interlaced).
tempgenc is my last suggestion, sorry I can't help out more, if I think of something and you still haven't found an answer I'll let you know
DIVX is non-interlaced. There is no Interlaced/Progressive category for Divx as you don't watch Divx on TV. TV's are interlaced so only DVD have interlaced encoding. As divx is not used for TV, it doesn't have an interlacing option.
