So I was planning on buying the M3 & PassCard3 combo, and had a question about the DS-Xtreme. If I bought just the DS-Xtreme, is it basically the Passcard and M3 put together? What I'm asking is, if I buy the DS-Xtreme, do I have to buy some kind of storage device to put in the GBA slot? Also, any suggestions on which is better, or cheaper to get. Does the PassCard3 have a main menu and stuff like the DS-Xtreme has. Thanks
The Passcard is only a boot device so has no menu. the M3 is what has the menu etc. (though not as nice as the DS-X menu) The DS-X has built in memory and works as a boot device as well, so is the only thing needed. THe DS-X is probably cheaper than having to get a M3+Passcard+Memory+Card Reader but don't forget you can't increase the DS-X memory so your stuck with 512MB.
Mr Hanky thanks for the help. I think I'll probably stick with the PassCard, and M3. So what do you get as a Start Menu. I heard of a program called Game Manager. Would that Work?
I will post pictures later (have to nick my house mates camera) but the menu has options for Game/Video/Music/Settings/Extend/Text/Picture/PDA and is skinable. The gamemanager is the software you must install on the PC, this software is what you will use to copy games onto your CF/SD card, it will create a save file an also patch the game so that it will work from the M3. EDIT: OK so i'm crap with cameras, i couldn't get a good enough picture, so I googled instead ¬_¬ The menu by default looks like this (but with another 2 buttons now) And the skin i'm currently using is this (this shows the extra 2 buttons) I couldn't find an image with the extra two buttns on the defualt skin, but they will be there when you get your M3.
