Hi, Im in the process of converting an MPG to DVD. The MPG movie is about 694MB. TMPGEen is telling me (as it is analyzing) that it is going to take 8+ hours to analize.
First, is there a faster way with this program...does it need to be analized, or is it analyzing and decoding at the same time.
I read most of the help file (within the program), and cant seem to find my answer.

Forgot to add my pc is running XP Pro, 1.8Ghz. processor, 512Mb Ram
I hope it doesnt take 8 hours to do :(

Can anyone help me with these questions?

    Thanks in advance!

Tmpeg is a slow program. But if it says analyzing then you have it set to do two passes. If you use the dvd tmplate it will always do this. I use the mpg tmplate and manually fill in the settings. Then just chose one pass.

Thanks for the response. I have everything set to default. Guess when this one is done I will look into making some changes within the program.
I have several movies I'd like to back up, and at 8 hours a pop for each, just about gives me a headache thinking of it.
I do recall seeing something about 2 passes, I'll make sure this feature is turned off next time.

Thanks again for the response :)
