Hey, I have a question about burning. I have a lot of 700mb .AVI movies, and I’m planning to get DVD burner in a month. I want to back up all of my AVI movies onto DVD’s, so that I can have a master copy, and a second copy for viewing. Now my question is, can I burn 6 AVI movies that would be around 4.2 gigs on a DVD as a Data DVD, just for viewing on my computer? I don’t want to convert it to watch on my TV, just my computer, and keep it as an AVI file, burning it as a Data DVD. As how long will it take? I have AMD Sempron 3000. Thanks!
I think you should read your player specs, if it needs CD-R media or also DVD-R media are usable. Or make a test with a DVD+RW (simple and cheap test)...
