For Vcd's all your video files have to be in mpeg.

You could try burning at a slower speed to try to maintain quality.

the files need to be in the mpeg2 format, and if the player is vcd compatible, mpgeg1. you're lucky avi's would play at all.

when you're burning, make sure your computer can handle the stress. as i don't know your specs, i'm being cautious (as i would be with dvd burning) and saying don't do anything else on the machine while you burn. also, make sure the discs are clean/scratch-free and aren't of extremely cheap quality. i only say that because, with dvds, this is normally a cheapie media issue.

do you have a nero burn log to post? any errors? freeze-ups? anything?

Actually the file has a mv2 or m2v sign...do u guys know what that means? My Nero 6 burns the video but it skips...I used Super vcd style of burning. I'm not burning it as a dvd, I'm burning it on a vcd. Does Nero 6 burn mpeg2 ?

Those files are going to have to be converted. I know Nero usually does this automatically when an incorrect video file is add to a Vcd project.

Nero will burn mpeg2, the only type of cd it will make with it is a data cd or a Svcd. Vcd requires mpeg1.

    Isn't m2v a video file without sound?

I would suggest getting Tmpgenc. There is a free version. It should fill you needs.

You can merge the video and audio together with the program above.
