I'm building a new home, getting ready for prewire, my computer has a digital audio out. I have been told that digital coax cable is my best bet but where my computer is and where my amp will be is 60 ft. I have lots of music downloaded. what other choices do I have, seems crazy to spend $400 for Digital Coax Cable.
you could stream your music using wireless, that is if u have a dmr machine like an xbox360 thats what am doing at the mo.I,am an electrician by trade when i do build my own house its gonna be a smart home, you should look at that before u start wiring just type it into google. Just remembered... i dont know what the prices for wire are in the states (am from ireland) but $400 for 60ft of cable sounds very wrong its 75ohm stuff same as sky tv (cable tv) and that only costs about £35 a roll
You may want to take a look at [bold]av-outlet.com[/bold] as they are advertising digital coax at $29 per 20ft length. In case you are interested: http://www.av-outlet.com/en-us/dept_95.html
