Ok i have been to a bunch of different sites about softmoding i just need to know if what im about to do is right. I put on my xbox a linux installer and linux profile for splinter cell. I put in splinter cell and load the profile. It goes to the evox screen and i get the url. I start up flash xp and conect using the url and xbox as the user name and password. I make back up copies of everything on my xbox. Copy everything inside the 'ude2-c-replace' folder to the Xbox's C drive then copy everything inside the ‘place-on-e’ folder to the Xbox’s E drive. This is the part im kinda bothered about i have to erase my c drive? then once that is done it should always start up in the evox screen right.
If you soft mod your Xbox successfully then it should automatically start up on your Evox dash, you shouldn't have to delete your C drive.
Ok well I first softmodded my Xbox with UXE autoinstaller with Mech Assault. All I did was install the backup just in case your Xbox's gets screwed then clicked install soft mod. Then insall one the the dashs to the default drive it asks. Then turn off your Xbox, then turn it back on. It should bring your Xbox up to the dash you installed. Then you should be able to ftp. I used Flash FXP but i don't think it really matters.
i can ftp my xbox but i didnt see anywhare with the evox xersion i have for an install so i downloaded a new dash an im gonna try that one
it was in a different language but from what i coudl tell it was much better than the one i had but i didnt click anything cause i couldnt understand it. do u havean installer u could send me

ur splinter cell downalod was in a different language but i could make out install and backup options. It installed but i dont want it on my xbox so i put my original stuff on my xbox but some of the dash stuff is missing and i get error 13. I can ftp but I dont know the right ip address for some reason the one i was using wont work anymore. It also gives me the option to ftp to my pc but how do i do that
Ok well I had only used the Mech Assault one from that website. But I just got sent another Mech Assault linux file that works great! You can even go on LIVE with it. Give me a hollar if you want me to send it to you.
