this forum that i'm posting in is called all other topics right? by that do you mean things to ask for help for like i dunno washing a tea towel etc or does it mean you can just have a discussion about a topic of your choice cuz you seem very quick to close threads without giving them much chance.
Silly topics are closed as soon as they're found. Duplicate topics are closed also, as for 'discussion' it depends what you mean; if it's a proper discussion about a sensible topic then there's no problem, but if it's pointless inane banter then that's obviously why stuff gets closed... this is a tech site but that doesn't mean non-tech topics can't be discussed here; we do have bouts of pointless chatting from time to time but those are also put out of their misery.
