    hey guys this is my first post just wonderin i just bought a samsung 50in dlp tv(SAM HLT5087S) i hooked up to my ps3 and watch my fist bluray movie on it and parts of it were snowey but then it goes away...i have the playstation hooked up wit hdmi cables so i dunno any info would help.. also i know this is bluray section but does any1 know why the tv makes like a buzzzing sound from the back every so often thanks

    Well I'm not sure why your TV is snowy. It may be something simple like loose cables. It could also be a faulty HDMI or Blu-ray which I think is highly doubtful. As far as the "buzz" you have I think you could be referring to the fan or the lamp bulb you have on your TV. I also own a Samsung DLP TV and it has a slight buzz when you put your ear to it, but its totally inaudible when you actually away from the TV. If its loud enough to hear over a movie or a game you might want to get it checked out. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but no one else posted so I figure its better than nothing.

    no idea about the buzzing, but perhaps its the movie that looks snowy, some BDs are made with a "Grainy" effect, in order to make the film look older or more stylish (somehow) but this could be the snowy effect you are talking about. also what movie is it, you can ask if anyone else has the snowy effect, but first, does this only happen with this movie or you whole tv set (ex. sattalite)? and last but not least, how bad is the "snowy" effect?
