I'm fairly new to burning DVD-R's. I've gotten two to work so far. Now I am having troubles and it sounds like it's my media. (Value Discs) I have a Micro Advantage 8x Superdrive, which I understand is a repackaged BTC drive. I was reading the review of this drive on another site and I came up with this phrase, and was wondering if anyone knew what it meant? "As you can see, HP's CMC manufactured DVD+R discs did not work at 8x. After talking this over with a few people in our forum, I learned that the DRW1008IM only writes to discs that are "rev 1." Unfortunately, the HP discs I had were "rev 0." Just keep this in mind when shopping for media. " I'm looking into purchasing some new media, and want to get something that will work. What is rev 1 and rev 0? Does it show them on the package or something?? Does anyone know what types of media are compatable with this drive? I read one review on this drive and a person made it sound like Riteks were not? Thanks again for all the help!
