After joining this site and reading tons of posts i realized i knew just about nothing about what i thought i knew a lot about. I have:

LG - GSA-4166B DVD-RW Drive (Firmware up to date)
Nero Burning Software most updated Version of 6
    DVD Shrink (Fully Updated)
    DVDFab Decrypter (updated)

I use Memorex DVD-R's 16x but i burn at 4x to try to get best results. I also have some well a lot of TDK 16x DVD-R's as well.

So far i have had nothing but problems with burning movies. I read enough to realize i should update my Firmware and i just did that today and got Narnia to actually turn to and ISO and burn it using Nero i havn't watched it yet but i am hoping since i've tryed everything that i've read about besides buy Verb DVD-R's that it should work.

If anyone sees a weakness in my programs, media or anything that may help me burn a movie that doesn't start to freeze up and crap out on me 1/2 to 3/4's the way through, i would appreciate any words of wisdom.

Your DVD media choices are some of the more unreliable. Try to use Verbs or TYS....

    I agree with bilbo65.
You can buy the major name brands (Sony, Maxell, Fuji) that are made in Japan, not Taiwan. The only Taiwan made media I'd buy is Verbatim....
    Good luck!

It tells on the package where they're made.)

Thank You for your responces, i had figured it was going to be a media problem because when i burn TV shows like Deadwood and Lost on them they work more often then mess up, but it looks like i will be heading to best buy for some Verbatim's. thanks again
