Basically, ive got a spare 60Gb hard drive lying around out of an old pc.

To fit this to my xbox is it just a case of fitting the drive straight in?
The xbox is hard modded, and i have a Slayers auto installer disk.
Should the slayers disc set up the new hard drive for me?

Tried looking at FAQs etc but haven't found a definent answer.
    Thanks

If the hardware mod removes drive locking restrictions, you should be able to do it that way. However to be sure, you can always use XBOX-HDM to clone your existing drive (this copies the data bit for bit from the source drive to the 60GB one) and you can then enable F drive to use the extra space. XBOX-HDM runs off a bootable CD and runs a mini live XBOX-Linux distro.

There are many tutorials around for XBOX-HDM so you shouldn't have trouble finding one :D

Or, if your BIOS has LBA48 support you could just back up your old hdd to your computer and slap in your new hdd into the xbox. After that, you format and prepare the new one with your BIOS, and FTP the backup files from your computer to your new hdd. If you have the X3 chip and BIOS, then read my tutorial that I wrote.
