So I recently bought a Gateway fpd2185w (which looks fantastic btw). Anways it nicely comes with dvi, vga, component, s-video, and composite inputs. I was looking into buying a Philips dvp5960 upscaling dvd player. From what I've heard it only has composite and HDMI outputs. Is there a way to hook this up to the component input so that I can use the monitor to switch back and forth between sources? I'm pretty new to all of this and didn't want to convert to DVI and have to keep swapping cables

if you want to do upscaling use the dvd player on hdmi that is the only way I know of that upscaling works but its not always all that great I have my dvd player hooked up to component and my pc hooked up to s-video as my cable box takes up the additional component input that my tv came with. its easy to switch from one input to another let me know what config you go with hope I have been of some help.
