I know with most software to get MPGs/AVI's onto DVD, you gotta convert them. Anyways, is there a way to set them up on a DVD so it's basically like a large VCD/sVCD, rather than using both seperate video/audio files for everything?
Converters like TMPGEnc Plus. CCE, Procoder, MainConcept, etc. output an mpg file that is authored and burnt to DVD. For example, I use MainConcept to convert an avi to mpg and then author and burn it using Ulead MovieFactory. Other programs like ConvertXtoDVD, WinAvi, etc create an Audio_TS and Video_TS folder which are then burnt to DVD. Another possibility is burning the avi as data if you have a capable player. No menus, maybe an index, not sure and no quality loss but anyone those disc's are lent to will also need the same type of DVD player.
