Quick softmod questions

    So I am about to softmod my xbox. Once I have done this will I be able to play backups (on dvd) and in the future upgrade the hard drive to a larger one? From what I have read so far I will be able to use all the modded functions/apps as if I had a chip. Am I correct to think this?

    YES. Softmod gives you the exact same functionality as a modchip.
