    i have an xbox 1.5 with a samsung drive with an aladdin live chip, werks great when i play games form teh hdd but im having a hard time with burning them to discs....... does xbox only read -r discs?
    or is it my brand of discs?

    The xbox should read both formats. They are very fussy as to which blank media is used. I use Princo for price and reliability. the other reliable media is ritek and verbatim. You will have to try different types to see what works best for you. Hope this helps!

    The Samsung drive should read anything you throw at it, ±R should be all good. Even with junky Memorex media. Buy like a 3 pack of different brands and try em out. Use what works best and stick with it.

    I have the Thompson drive and it picky, -R's only.. tried a few +R's and they were all coasters.

    I used nothing but Verbatims, but now hard to find; switched to Ritek G04's and work perfectly.
