Hi all, I have an R4 3DS card and copied my 3DS extension games to the root of the card. The card boots fine with the latest kernal butwhen I click 'games' it only shows MOONSH2.NDS (or whatever) but my 3DS files are not shown. What am I doing wrong? Can anyone point me in the correct direction? Thanks in advance.
So the purpose of an R4 3DS card is so I can play Nintendo DS games, but NOT 3DS games? So what do need to play 3DS games that I have (with a 3DS extension)? I have visited a few sites and can clearly see the 3DS roms, so saw the R4 3DS card and assumed all would be good! Thanks again for your help.
can anyone explain why they have marketed it as a 3ds cart, i too did the same upgraded my boys dsi to a 3ds and bought the card, but when i put the 3ds games on for him this morning they couldn't be seen..one unhappy boy :-((
Where are you getting the games? They are just now able to dump them but no card is supported yet. There is only like 2 or 4 good 3ds games anyway. The cart is so you can play ds games on the 3ds. They should be able to do 3ds games soon
IPTORRENTS IS WHERE I GET THEM, I HAVE ABOUT 7 OR 8 GAMES, THE CART DOESNT RECOGNISE THE FILE EXT 3DS BUT IT DOES NDS THANKS FOR THE REPLY CHEERS PS SORRY FOR CAPITALS
I am Desperate for help. I bought my daughter a DS lite that came with an R4 3ds card in it with 180 games on it. It played fine for the first day and now the files are mysteriously gone. Not sure how it happened but is there ANY way to possible fix this? Or if not how to I go about reloading it with games?
The reason that they have marked the cartridges as 3ds is because you can't use the older carts on the 3ds to play nds games. You have to buy a flash cart marked as 3ds so you can play your nds games on the 3ds. Just be patient. They will soon find a way and perhaps r4 team will provide an update for your cart that will allow you to play 3ds games. We just don't know yet.
thanks for the replies...i think that is the general consensus....will have to wait for the team to work something out cheers
Actually i can explain this in a nut shell they are going to need to work out 2 major things for this to work.. Q: you have to block the 3ds from communicating with the internet. A: true because the 3DS carts dial home to verify legit games if a ill legit game is detected the next firmware update on your nintendo 3DS will deactivate the wireless functionality of the 3DS this is only on 3DS games. that would be the first the second is the main boot file for the cart has to be hacked and be able to be copied in order for the game to skip online validation. So it's a uphill battle lets hope someone fixes this soon
Sorry to hijack a thread, but just wondered if anyone can help. I've ordered a R4i3DS card but have read stories that it can brick a 3DS console. Anyone know if this is true & if it is, how I can avoid it (apart from not using one in the first place)
I have bought the 3ds r4 it works on the 3ds for ds games only how ever there is a crown 3ds card in the works that will play 3ds games (not on market yet) as for the 3ds bricking i have not had any problems even with the recent update my 3ds still works fine.
