r4 card problems

Hi, could someone please help me with my r4 card. I bought an r4 revolution, it came with no software but the site I bought it from had the software on it. I downloaded the software and put it on the card, I also put games on the card. When I put the card in the ds and turned it on it loaded up to show three options: games, multimedia and settings, when I pressed games it game up with the list of games but completely freezes on that screen, it wont let me do anything, could anyone please help me with this as it has had me stuck for days.

Return the R4's to where you bought them and get an AK2 instead as the R4's you bought are most likely fake, and therefore not of very good quality, alot of cart manufacturers started making different version of the R4 cart to try and cash in on the name as opposed to making a decent product.

 

Before you do that, make sure that you're running English version 1.18, since I doubt that your vendor will take the card back.

If you have an authentic R4Revolution (2GB microSD Max), this is what you should be running.

hi i also have this same problem but it actualy works on my ds perfectly, but not on my daughters is there any other reason

 

What does it do on your daughters DS - go straight to the menu screen or come up with the loading issue?

 

it comes up with loading then goes onto the three icons games media and setings, the buttons work here, but when i click on the games icon the list of games comes up but then the buttons dont work

 

Very strange the only issue between DS's I have had is poor contact between the flashcart and the DS, try a thin piece of card or folded paper behind the card to push it on to the contacts.

 

yeah i tried that and it didont work either, i think it may be something to do with the ds, because i have look through a few forums and no one has mentioned it :-(

 

Hi Guys. I have a problem with my R4.When i switch it on the menu chip appears then goes red and doesn't boot up. Ive tried reloading the software and reformatting the chip but to no avail.Is the micro sd card knackered. It was working perfect for around 6 months.

HI GUYS IV JUST BOUGHT AN R4 SDHC CARD AND A 2GB SD CARD IT DIDNT COME WITH THE SOFTWARE SO AFTER READING BITS ON HERE I DOWNLOADED IT I THEN PUT THE FILES ON TO THE CARD ALONG WITH SOME GAMES AND IT COMES UP WITH MENU IN A RED BOX AND DOESNT DO MUCH HELP COULD NE1 HELP ME PLEASE I HAVENT REALLY GOT A CLUE WOT IM DOING THANX
