Hi I have just got a 4GB R4 and I thought I had followed the instructions but everytime it loads the Nintedo welcome screen loads with the logo, swiftly followed by going to a Loading screen where it stops or seems to freeze. Action taken so far I have installed the latest kernal 1.18 Files loaded in the root are _DS_Menu & _DS_MSHL.DNS With 3 folders - System_ ; Moonshl ; & Games In the games files I only have files with game name.nds and .SAV extensions. The card is a 4gb Micro SD that came with the kit from R4 REvoluton for DS. Any help guidance very gratefully received
TBH my r4ds fails if I try to use 1.18, even tried all the other language version...same result. I now use a different firmware, my working one is titled as "English 1.25". There are loads of useful files on this link ---->> Notably the lists with the R4 titles. PS. Best copy all your existing files onto your PC prior to upgrading just in case you need them later. Good luck, post back if you find a firmware that suits you. EDIT : Just noticed I got the same files as you BUT my file called "_DS_Menu" I have two of it, one which is a configuration settings file type, is 1kb in size but it is also empty when I open it in notepad and the other has been owned by Nero Showtime and is 4053kb in size and says it is a "type of file - Video CD Movie(.DAT)" make of this what you will.

Hi there can someone please help me, ive been pulling my hair out for a few hours now, everything i try to do doesnt work, ive the new R4 which is the sdhc version ive noticed ive downloaded so many kernels and removed em all to no avail, it goes says loading non stop, please please help
