    hey

a few days ago I was playing on my r4
and the spring crashed (I dont know or that
made it broken), now its doing well,
but when I started my r4 there stood
    ''couldn't find_ds_menu.dat''
so I put it in my computer
and when I opened the map but it was empty.
and when I looked to it (right mouse button)
there stood that already about 900 mb was used
but I cant see it in the map.
now is my question, can it be fixed or
do i have to buy a new one?

    thanks :p

Format it. I had a similar problem with my psp memory stick and that all that needs doing.

    And can I do that?

    Edit:

i now know how to do it,
but if I press on start there
is a message of that all files will
    be lost after it,
can't I take my files first of?
because all my savefiles are still there...

If you can see the files, make a complete back-up of your microSD before formatting. Copy everything to your PC, or everything will be lost.

Erm, unless theres some sort of computery type person who can rescue you, theres no going back.
You either format the card, or possibily (I don't know if, or how, this works) Defragment the disc. Don't ask me how to do that though.

You can try Stellar Phoenix. That's a pretty good program that reads off data from dead memory sticks and all sorts of other stuff. If that doesn't work, nothing else will.
