I have just loaded a game to r4 but when I try to play it i'm told the save data could not be accessed please turn power off and reinsert ds card. Have tried this but get the same result all other games working fine anyone any ideas on how to sort this out.

me too i have such problem. i upgrade to 1.18v and some of the game still have same problem. any ideas on that?
I have the same problem with game 3506 (Club Penguin). I tried to Arm 7 patching but when I open the Arm 7 "Component'COMDLG32.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered. A file is missing or invalid". Not sure is if its because I am using Vista as the OS on my computer.
One thing you can try is go to gbatemp.net, click forums then the R4 forum. One of the top stickies is how to install YSMenu, this alternative firmware plays a lot more games, ultimately the R4 is coming to the end of its life (no more updates). If you choose another card - do not buy anything with the R4 in the name, they are all copies or clones. Buy something else!
