    We have 3 NDS Consoles.

2 out of the 3 consoles the SDHC Card works.

The other console does not work with the same card!

Does anybody know what is wrong??

In the console which DOES NOT WORK we get as far as the game menu but we cannot go any further.

    Any ideas??
Appreciate any help you can provide
    Cheers

Try the paper shim trick. Some consoles have poor contacts to the NDS slot - and flash cards are thinner than standard cartridges.

Put a thin piece of card or folded paper behind the R4 to push it tighter on to the contacts

Thank you very much for your reply, i tried your suggestion but it still freezes with the screen showing the list of games on the card.
Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

So the same card works fine in One DS - swap it into another and it doesn't work in another DS.

I dont have the R4, however the only similar thing I have come across is with the M3 Real,

If a button is held down it freezes and refuses to boot, with my DS it was the right hand back button and it was caused by the crystal case just holding the button in. Test all the buttons and see if one is perminantly in. If not look into the DS slot, can you see all the pins (compare to one that is working)

Hello there I really do appreciate the suggestions you are making.
I have checked the buttons and they all are operating ok.
I have checked the pins comparing them to the pins of the working consoles and they seem to be fine too.
However one thing I have just noticed is when we scroll to the right, where you have the start up menu stating - Game - Multimedia - Config
when we click the A button on Multimedia it says something about "an error was detected while trying to access the disc or file. please confirm the following:
Was the rom file of a correct DLDI Patch started?
Please re-format the media or try again
Please try with different media from another manufacturer
This lot of information is gathered when we click A button on the MOONSHLD2.NDS file
I dont quite understand this because as I said the R4 card works fine in the other 2 DS Consoles we have.
There are other sub folders in the /moonshl2 file but dont understand them or whether they would have anything in them that could help us??
Look forward to hearing from you again

You can ignore that last post where I chat about the error message. I have checked the other 2 R4 cards that we have and it says the same thing on each one of them, and 2 of the cards work.
I just cannot understand why the 3rd card does not work in one console but does work in the other 2???
    Cheers

I HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM - THANK YOU.

FYI, I removed the battery and put it back and it is now working fine.

    Would you believe it LOL.

Does anyone have any idea why the battery trick works sometimes? I'm perplexed as to why this could affect the performance of a card.
