there you go mate have a read - http://www.r4ds.com/product-en.htm

you will also need a micro sd memory card , this holds all your games and fits inside the r4ds .

    a 2 gig micro sd memory card should hold 40 - 50 games .

as for the games im not sure if im allowed to tell you where to get em so ill just say google for nintendo ds roms )

woof811 - all seems too much for me - have a reasonable pc knowledge - but my download skills are as far as limewire. But i have 2 kids that cost me a fortune in games - PS3 & Wii for xmas - after 2 psp last year and a ds. There is a guy at my wifes job charging €100 for the r4 with 20 games - does this sound like robbery? Or is the cost of a r4/sd card & dowloading time make that reasonable??

hello mate i thought id explain just how easy it really is , as follows -

first off the r4ds and micro sd memory card you can buy iff your in the uk from here -

    http://www.supercardstore.com/ref1/product_info.php?products_id=57&osCsid=jahqcg60pr2gialms3paneca52

    http://www.addictsupplies.com/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=2

    international from here -

    http://www.volumerate.com/details.vr/sku.1459

    http://www.gameyeeeah.com/r4ds-c-36.html

for international be prepared to wait at least 2 weeks postage as it will be coming from hong kong or china !

these are the websites that have been recommended by most forums and ive used 2 of them addictsupplies and volumerate .

as you can see the r4ds is cheap enough to buy and as for setting up it gets even easier -

1, put the micro sd memory card in the usb card reader and format it to fat16 ( fat ).

2, put the firmware on your micro sd memory card ( latest is v1.12 from here - http://www.r4ds.com/soft/18-en.htm ),when you download the firmware unzip and you will have 2 files and 2 folders , put these on your micro sd memory card and thats it firmware done .

3, put your games on the micro sd memory card , make sure if they are rared up to unrar your games and they are in .nds format .( a r4ds will only play games in .nds format )an excellent website for games here - http://www.dgemu.com/home.html

4, thats it put you micro sd memory card inside your r4ds and put your r4ds in your nintendo ds where you would normally put a game .

5, switch your nintendo ds on and away you go !

ive tried to make it as simple as possible but if you have any more questions just let me know , woof811.

ps. make sure before you buy that any website that has the r4ds in stock because some seem to be running out of stock as its coming christmas !
