    Hi all,

Got a R4DS card with a Sandisk 2GB card which has been formatted.

I copied the following from the disc supplied to the root directory:

    _system_ (folder)
    moonshl (folder)
    _DS_MENU.DAT
    _DS_MSHL.nds

I tried booting this with no ROM and it worked. Added a ROM and it worked. Tried adding 2 ROM's and it hanged and the loading screen.

I have now tried formating the card both as FAT and FAT32. Added all the files again with and without ROM's and it still hangs at the loading screen.

I have also seen two error messages:

    UNABLE TO FIND _DS_MENU.DAT

    And

    SD/TF card error

What has happended? I can not get it to work at all now.

    The read me file says:

    1. Please confirm the version of your R4DS adapter before loading to TF card system file. If it’s Chinese, please choose “Chinese”, if English, choose “English”.

How am I meant to know? All the packaging is in English, but says made it China??

Also, there is a noise when I shake the R4DS card lightly as if something is lose inside of it?

    Any help appricated.

Sorry to hear about this....My only suggestion is go to the R4ds site and download the latest update. When I got mine I was over zelous and forgot to put the DS_Menu.dat file in the main directory. Put that in and it worked fine. I think all the R4's are made in China (I know mine was). About you hearing something in the r4 I cannot help you there. As well remember to push down all the way on your microSD card (I think I got that same error to). Hope this helps.
