thanks for the news, the r4i gold 3ds card is fantastic, my brother brought his r4i gold card from http://www.thegamerdepot.com/buy-wood-r4i-gold-3ds-card-for-3ds-xl3dsdsids-p-150.html about half a year and has not had any troubles yet.
so just to be clear, i can update my 3ds xl to v7.0 and my r4i 3ds gold will still play my ds roms no problem? i dont have to update the actual flash cart with a ds or dsi?
To answer your question, yeah, the r4i gold 3ds card will be working on the latest 3ds firmware without updating. so you can just update your 3ds xl to V7.0.
I got the R4i Gold to try to play 3ds backups, but no dice... does this card ONLY support non-3ds games? It read from the description as if it did support 3ds titles.
yeah, the r4i gold 3ds card can only play ds games, can not play 3ds games, currently no flashcart can play 3ds games on V4.5 higher 3ds firmware.
My 3ds version is the newest 7.1.0-14,my r4i gold 3ds can work on it,but my deluxe edion is fail to support it.
