This game seems to pose a problem, 6.1gb in size after a lot of unused files are already removed, I supposed some audio files can be taken out, but it wont amount to 1.7gb or so!
Anyone know of a way to remove multiplayer options? And xbox live? maybe thatll shrink it up enough

What files did you strip out from rallisport?
Could someone possibly free up to 1.7GB on the xbox hd itself?

good idea, but naaa, only files you can strip out are the media (song files) and the languags, it only amounts to around 100mb
What Im now doing , as its only possible to put the game on 2 discs backing it up.
Is Im trying to unlock every track, then from that work out the track data for each track, so It can be burned to 2 discs, without having to keep swapping them (ie first disc, for first half of the tracks/game)
the game can be made to 2 discs at the moment, but it does mean swapping the discs etc, a lot to get access to tracks.
to make 2 discs (that constantly need swapping) do the following
    disc 1
    - australia
    - monte carlo
    - sweden
    - great britain (80%)

    disc 2
    - usa
    - argentina
    - canada
    - sweden
    - great britain (100%)

on the first disc, you want to delete:

    Layer0\TrackCanada*.*
    Layer0\TrackGreatBritain_R1_10.fa
    Layer0\TrackGreatBritain_R1_11.fa
    Layer0\TrackGreatBritain_R1_12.fa
    Layer0\TrackUsa*.*
    Layer1\TrackArgentina*.*
    Layer1\TrackUsa*.*

on the second disc, you want to delete:
    Layer0\TrackAustralia*.*
    Layer1\TrackAustralia*.*
    Layer1\TrackMonteCarlo*.*

Ill keep you posted of when I get the info/data sorted for which track is which data etc, so to not have to keep swapping the discs while playing

I put it in my hdd fine btw, I have heard some are having problems.

Very impressive. Putting it on 2 disks is a great idea as you prolly wouldn't want to rip anything out anyhow - it's just such a sweet game. I didn't have enough space in my xbx to copy the game so I just bit the bullet and threw a 30GB hdd. Works great now but would like to be able to back it up on disk. Keep up the great work. Thx

btw, unless you overburn disc one, you'll also have to delete some (if not all) of the media(song) files

I wasnt trying to work out what was safe to delete, Im trying to put the game to 2 discs, so you can play amateur and pro on one disc, and expert and the top level on the other, Ive just about got it, as I ve completed amateur, pro, and unlocked everything on those levels, now its a case of finding which code is which track so I can divide the game onto 2 discs, so you dont have to keep changing the disc while you play

My bad. If Rallisport 2, TOCA, and Project Gotham 2 were in a race, who'd win?

    hi
you mean like a dvd9 (multi layer?) or just a 2 sided disc?
2 sided disc might be an idea, then you just gotta flip the disc over for the other levels etc.
Same as doin 2 discs, only instead of physically takin it out, flipping it over. Yea thats an option.
Im trying to get the files that you will need for disc one, then its a case of burning what remains to disc 2, I VERY much doubt, looking how the tracks are, that any of the exact same tracks are repeated onto disc 2, they just seem too, to get harder and longer as the game progresses. hopefully will have (finally lol) got it sorted this week sometime, if the baby stops puking on me. Ill list the results of what tracks are used for amatuer and pro, sometime this week.

No I didnt mean dual layered, I meant 2 seperate discs, one that has level 1 and 2, the other that had level 3 and 4
but the problem with rallipsort 2 is some of the tracks are used in conjunction with each other, and certain parts added to the same track file ie graphics, difficulty etc so the 2 disc idea where level 1 and 2 are on one disc etc, wouldnt work, as you cant simply remove track data.
the ONLY way to split rallisport 2 that I can see, so you dont have to swap discs almost every race is use something like 4 discs, which , yep, is a bit much.
So I reckon Ill stick to playing it from the hdd.
You could always save the game files onto 2 dvd discs, as data, then load them into your pc, join the files, patch the xbe etc, then ftp to xbox hdd.
So you can save the data should anything go wrong etc.
