My take on this is to buy more ram. Like add a stick of 512ram. Most computers have 2 to 4 slots

    Physical memory : 367MB (376300kB)

    Free physical memory: 102MB (104760kB)

    Memory in use : 72

this is what it says when i am done using nero any way to free up more ram????????? i have in the one slot 128 and in the other 256.if you add that it comes out to be 484 in only says 367 where is the rest???????

Where did you come up with 484? lol

    A stick of 128mb ram + a stick of 256mb ram = 384mb total ram.

If you do what ireland suggested and upgrade adding a 512mb stick of ram, your total will be 896mb ram. That is a decent amount, approaching 1gig, and it means you can run nero again without your comp slowing down so much.

If you only have 2 slots, ditch the 128mb stick and replace it with the 512mb.

Gotta love ya, poor math-challenged Nero user :^)
    484MB is a bit generous...
Of course, you have 384MB RAM (not 368MB - the 16MB difference could typically be explained by onboard video which leeches from your system memory).
You need to yank the 128MB chip and replace it with a 256MB similar to the one you already have, giving 512MB inexpensively.
To free up RAM, first stop all the garbage that loads automatically when you start Windows - MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, AOL Messenger, Quicktime, Real, printer software, Adobe, internet filesharing, Office, etc.
Empty the All Programs > Startup folder.
Keep your PC tuned-up and in good shape. Run Spybot S&D and Lavasoft AdAware. Empty your Temp directories and defrag your drives.
Place your Windows Pagefile on another harddisk on another controller than your Windows installation, 512MB minimum / 1024MB maximum (for ~384MB installed).
You should have enough memory to function okay, better than 256MB but not as relaxed as 512MB would be, especially since you are giving away 16MB to the video.
If you upgrade to 512MB, you could check in your BIOS and see about onboard video memory - perhaps you can increase it to 32MB or even 64MB.
In that case, the extra memory would really help your overall system performance...

    DDR eh?
    I woulda guessed PC133...
    (You da man ddp :^)
This is fortunate because 512MB PC3200 is quite inexpensive
    ie. $55 bucks (Canadian).

Your mobo runs 133MHz (266DDR) FSB, therefore requires PC2100 (266DDR) memory minimum.
PC3200 will work fine though! Better specs and timings / same price.
    Regards
