i am new to downloading,i want to download movies to my pc,i do not want to burn them or anything complicated,i just want to store them on pc and watch a my own time,i use bit torrent to download,my problem is all the ones i have downloaded are rar files and wont play on any of my players, i have media player,real player,power dvd player,quck time and others but they wont play on any of them,please help at wits end,it takes ages to download them and at the end it is all for nothing.
rar files are compressed, you need to extract them. Use 7zip or winrar to extract the files. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/desktop_software/compression_tools/winrar.cfm

Right click the rar file and it should give you the option to use winrar to extract it. Or you can open winrar then search for the file to extract it. You'll have to excuse my memory, it's been a while since i've used it and i'm at work so i don't have it here in front of me. You're not bothering anyone, we're here to help. Merry Christmas.
It may ask you for a password too. So from where you download the torrent there may be a password listed.
