.rar yes i know lots of threads on it but no answer to this

    right got 5 parts. this comes up after 25%.
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\ThrillVIllle\thrill.part1.rar: Packed data CRC failed in psy-thrill.cso. The volume is corrupt
    ! C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\ThrillVIllle\thrill.part2.rar: CRC failed in the encrypted file psy-thrill.cso (wrong password ?)
    i know the password is right unless its a differant one for the second pat please help.

    my friend theirs only two answers to this, either you have the wrond password or the file is corrupted and you cant do anything about that.

    If parity files (PAR or better yet PAR2 files) are available then download a few of them and run the archive through Quickpar. The parity files will (hopefully) detect and correct any defects.

    However...

    The problem you are experiencing is almost certainly due to a wrong password; that can generate CRC errors. Sometimes, a file will even appear to extract ok, but the binary data will be completely corrupted. I'm not certain if the CRC errors and apparent ok extraction are due to a bug in WinRAR or are a deliberate attempt to lead you to believe the archive is corrupt.

    If you got the archive off a torrent, try checking the search engine to see if anyone posted known passwords. Otherwise, you're probably out-of-luck.
