I have downloaded the Motorola Phone Tools - 4.0.4b and got it to detect my phone, but it gives me all the options EXCEPT to transfer ringtones.

Does anyone know why not? or can help me fix it?

The multimedia section for the ringtones transfer is greyed out and when i place my mouse over it it says
"this function is unavaliable because another function or data connection is open, or the phone is still initializing"
Neither of which is true. There is no otehr conection open and its connected so it's done initializing.

    Anyone offer any suggestions?

    Thanks

I emailed Motorola and this is their response
    Thank you for contacting Motorola.

Unfortunately there is no option to unlock the phone, since the phone was made to the specification of the carrier. The Motorola Phone Tools software performs a scan in the phone to determine what options are available with that particular phone and displays them in the function pad.

Motorola manufactures phones to the specifications of each carrier. As a result, carriers may make changes to a phone, or may ask Motorola to make changes, when it is programmed or serviced, for use on their network. Because of this, the use of certain accessories with your phone may differ, and functionality may vary from carrier to carrier. If a specific feature advertised, by Motorola, is not programmed into your phone, or usable with an accessory, please contact your carrier for feature availability through their network. Verizon's phone # is 1-800-922-0204.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

If you have any questions, you can contact our Customer Care Center directly at 1-800-331-6456 so that a Customer Care Professional can better assist you. Our business hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM until 10:00 PM CST and also Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM CST.
