I have been trying to get my mp3 player to use a 1 gig stick and I can not get the player to recognize it. I have contacted the Company support section and they claim that it will work. I have tried a smaller size and the reformat program that comes with the player seems to nothing more than a low level format as when I try copying music to the memory stick I get the message that the stick is not formated and when the format is done music can be copied and be recognized by the player. Is there anyway to do a low level format on a 1 gig since the format program supplied will not recognize it. They also told me to use fat32 instead of fat and that should work which was wrong. I think if I could get this stick low level formated and then reformat it as a FAT file I could get it to work.
Well, since nobody answered, my guess is there isn't anything you can do, aside from look for a firmware update for your player. The format program may simply not be able to access > 512 mb. Most manufacturers would not allow it to go further even though it would be technically easy to remove that limitation because they want to sell you a new product in a year or two. So, unless there is a firmware update and unless it specifically addresses the problem, keep your Lyra as is.
many thanks for the info there is no firmware update as they already have several new verisons out. So I guses I am stuck with what I got. Again many thanks for the reply.
