    I am trying to convert a video to dvd using Canopus procoder 2 after it completes there is no video/picture but i can hear sound. why is this? I have tried to convert the source to different formats like mpeg2 & divx but its still not showing me the video!

    Sounds Like a Codec Issue....Sounds Like either you don"t have the Codec to decode the AVI File you are encodeing Or you don"t have the Codec to decode the Mpeg-2/DVD File.....

    Well if you Have the Correct AVI Codec then you will know because you can watch the AVI file on your PC without Problems....

    Mpeg-2 Codecs are usually installed By Software DVD Players Like WinDVD or PowerDVD so Installing one of these Programs would Install the Correct Mpeg-2 Codecs.....

    well i do have powerdvd 6 - also have divx 511 - also have nero premium 7 with showtime. dont know why its doing that!

    Download the k-lite codec pack standard and run it. It will install all necessary codecs.
