'Read' time took nearly 3 hours b4 burning

    I used Nero Buring Rom with my external CDRW. i was tryin to burn a .avi file to a blank disc, but it took nearly 3 hours to read the file before burning the disc which took 10 minutes...

    The finished disc was alright though

    Please help!!!What can i do to diminished the 'read" time?????????/

    The very first time I ever used Nero, it did the same thing to me. I was burning "NHL 2002" and the read time was forever. Then everytime after, it went really quick. Then my comp crashed, so I took it back to the shop, and they re-installed windows and Nero & etc. The first time I burnt with it after the crash it took forever to read again, but has worked fine since. ---- Eric ----
