Have you checked out the new unlocker released today, it allows you to use your xbox drive in your PC and read off xbox games. i tried it with my phillips drive, but over at xbox hacker they got it working W00t this could be sweet. i found the direct download below http://www.consolejunky.com/home/p2_articleid/156 hope its in the right section bobba
the problem isn't the drive itself. it is the way the discs are burnt. The easiest way to explain it is that the data is pretty much burnt backwards. which makes it impossible to read in ya pc even if you take out the dvd drive from ya xbox. As far as I know you can put pretty much any dvd drive into your xbox and it will still work. So I would say that the guys who are saying that they can read xbox games in thy're pc are full of crap.
