Hey guys, I burned a CD for my NHL hockey game for the Xbox (not 360). But my Thompson DVD drive would not read it. I burned it on CD-R/RW, DVD-R and DVD+RW. Could anybody tell me what CD/DVD the Thompson reads?
the thompsom drive is very picky what program are you burning them with and is your xbox modded???and what NHL Hockey game are your burning?
I also have Thompson Drive, I use the ritek ridaka i think there called DVD+R and use 120% on the lowest write speed. Worked like a charm never had a problem Im 10/10 so far no coasters.
Ritek is a good brand to use....alcohol or dvd decyrpter are the best programs nero also works but people have problems with it.....
I'm using a HP DVD+RW, a Sony DVD-RW, and a Ridata DVD-R. I am playing NHL 2K6. My XBOX is not modded and I burned it using Nero.
If your Xbox is not modded you will not be able to play the game. You must have a chipped or soft modded Xbox to play a backup game. I cannot distinguish amongst your post which entry is your DVD writer or if they are all the types of media you have experimented with. I do know that HP DVDs are not the best and that you should be using DVD-Rs for the best results as well.
Shade, my hockey game is not burned It's a CD full of goal horns for my Xbox. It just won't read. What I am trying to say is: I have goal horns for my game NHL 2K6 that I want to put in. The problem is that my XBOX drive is not reading the types of CD's I put in. It is NOT the game, as it is legit. It is the MUSIC CD that I am talking about.
is this a cd you bought from a store and what do you mean it wont read it.....go to your ms dash and see if you can play it from there if so then it does read it but your doing something wrong....if it is burned like shade said the drive may not read it because its CD-R.....
I bought a pack of CD/DVD at a computer outlet which includes a Sony DVD-RW, a no-name brand CD-R, HP DVD+RW, and a Ridata DVD-R. It could play but it's messed up.
